KS Series - Key Switches

System & Actuator Override

In automated entry systems (automatic doors), where zonal timers are not used, entire systems may be switched via manual operation, i.e. via a key switch. The key switch is supplied usually in ‘Alternate’ mode and controls power to the system’s actuators whether they be microwave motion sensors or wall mounted switches.

Heavy Duty Key Switch

KS-1.M – Momentary Contact
KS-1.A – Alternate Contact

Operation – Key switch with NO & NC contacts
Switch Rating – 5 Amps @ 12Vdc/24Vdc
Cylinder – Round screw-in mortice cylinder
Default – Double gang (only)

Disc Tumbler Key Switch (Boxed)

KS-2 – Momentary Contact
KS-2T – Trapped Key Option

Operation – Key switch with NO & NC contacts
Switch Rating – 3 Amps @ 12Vdc/24Vdc
Cylinder – Disc tumbler
Default – 95mm x 40mm x 32mm

Disc Tumbler Key Switch (on Plate)

KS-3 – Momentary Contact
KS-3T – Trapped Key Option

Operation – Key switch with NO & NC contacts
Switch Rating – 3 Amps @ 12Vdc/24Vdc
Cylinder – Disc tumbler
Default – 100mm x 40mm x 32mm

Heavy Duty Euro Profile Key Switch

EKS-1.M – Momentary Contact
EKS-1.A – Alternate Contact

Operation – Key switch with NO & NC changeover contacts
Switch Rating – 5 Amps @ 12Vdc/24Vdc
Cylinder – Euro Profile Cylinder 38-40mm
with location adjustable cam
Default – Single gang (flush only)

LEDs

A bi-colour LED is included by default on the KS-1 Key Switch only.
This will switch from red to green to indicate the status of the switch.

NB - Key switches are not engraved unless to special order.
