4000T Series Door Closer - Heavy Duty Wall/Gate Mounting
The 4000T is a heavy duty closer which was designed (for the North American market) primariily to control fire and smoke barrier doors (with maximum swing of 90°) normally held open with wall magnets. The UK version is supplied with a 'T' bracket (as shown) for fixing to gate posts where relaible control is desired and where no transom bar exists. Order this item separately if required.
NB - there is no UK fire certification on this product .

- 4000T Series closer is shipped with standard arm, standard track, track roller, standard plastic cover, and screw pack.
- Sized cylinders for doors to 1220mm
- Closer mounts on a 'T' bracket, hinge side, on either right or left hand door.
- 'T' bracket is designed for welding to steel gate post
- Standard or optional custom powder coat finish.
- Optional plated finish on metal cover, arm and fasteners.
- Optional SRI primer for installations in corrosive conditions is available with powder coat only.

Standard, non hold-open, non-handed track. Will not accept hold-open clip or bumper assembly.
Track Roller - 4000T-3034
Quiet, low friction roller assembly. Shoulder Dimension "X"= 1/8? (3 mm).
Special Custom Templating
Variants of the 4000T are used to address situations where conventional door closer applications are unsuitable - Particularly where hardware cannot be mounted above the door due to a flush ceiling or on arched or curved head doors where a square head frame does not exist.
In all situations where a wall is not available at 90° specify the 4000T bracket.
This can be screw fixed or welded to a metal frame as necessary. Important note - for external applications, a liberal coating of grease must be applied to the closer mechanism upon installation and periodically thereafter.
