DTDM Dual Trigger Delay Module - Adjustable Time Delay
DTDM Dual Trigger Delay Module - Adjustable Time Delay
Coping with Locked Doors
Locked doors require a time delay feature incorporated into the system and these are usually housed in the locks’power supply enclosure. The DTDM Dual Trigger Delay Module is a miniature timer that functions to extend momentary switch closures (NO) by up to 45 seconds via a potentiometer.
Application
Timers of this nature are often referred to as ‘Off Delay’ timers and are used to ensure that enough time is available for a ‘secondary’ operation to take place while power is removed from an electrified lock. This ‘secondary’ operation is usually the movement of the door away from its closed (and locked) position.
Timers are re-triggerable with no need to wait for the initial timed trigger to elapse before starting a new phase.
Default Specification
DTDM.12 – Re-Triggerable Time Delay 0-45 Seconds 12Vdc.
DTDM.24 – Re-Triggerable Time Delay 0-45 Seconds 24Vdc.
For Auto Equalizer systems the timer will be housed in the ACC enclosure along with a power supply module to power the electrified lock. The TR input can be re-triggered as many times as is required to allow free movement through the door before the air exhausts from the air cylinder.
Note - The time delay principle applies to all automatic operator systems offered by Relcross.
